I'm leaning toward a hybrid, and the Leesa is highly recommended by someone I trust, and my research turned up the Nest Alexander Hybrid as a top pick. The Tuft Needle Mint looked good also. Reddit loves Tempur Pedic–and it has a certain reputation–but I wonder if it's that much better for the extra grand or so. While my experience with Leesa hasn't been bad, it's definitely not good in my book.

If you don’t mind shelling out some extra bucks and like a medium-firm mattress, Sapira is an excellent option to try. This hybrid mattress is constructed with foams that are similar to the Leesa Original, but the Leesa hybrid swaps the Original’s foam core for 6 inches of pocketed coils. It has a medium firmness with good bounce, making it a great choice for combination sleepers.
We should point out though, that softness/firmness is subjective. The heavier you are, the softer a mattress will appear to you. The opposite is true of petite individuals. Leesa produces two models of mattress: a layered polyurethane and memory foam mattress, and a hybrid mattress. We’ll be frank. The foam/poly mattress isn’t anything special, and there are better ones out there at a similar price point.
